Every Uniq company is required to conduct its operations with a proper concern for the environment. The Group has commissioned independent audits of all its food manufacturing plants to check their compliance with environmental legislation. These have identified good performance and a steady improvement. The Group's Executive Committee reviews environmental issues every year and has authorised significant investments to improve environmental performance.

Uniq is working to meet the compliance requirements of new legislation including the Integrated Pollution Prevention Control legislation by which all new installations must be approved by both the local authority and the Environment Agency.
