Purpose of Job

• To carry out processing of samples to the standards of the Quality Statement of Uniq Foods, Northampton Site

Job Responsibilities

• To work accurately and timely to process the workload. This includes sample collection, booking in, preparation, processing, enumerating plates, media preparation, recording of results, identification and calibration.
• To communicate with fellow technicians and peers.
• To work on own at times required when shifted

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Training:

• Laboratory experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• A-Levels in science subjects preferred. Individuals with degree in science related subject considered.
• Numeracy and literacy is required.
• Bank holiday working is required as is overtime occasionally and a flexibility to fill in and change shifts.
