Uniq plc: Change of Chairman

Uniq plc, the European chilled foods group, today announces that Nigel Stapleton, who is coming close to the end of his second three-year term, will be standing down as Chairman on 31 December 2006.

Ross Warburton who joined the Board as Deputy Chairman in June 2006 will succeed him.

Nigel Stapleton said at today's Annual General Meeting:

"With the business entering a new phase and in recovery mode, I believe it is the appropriate time to hand over to a new Chairman. My successor, Ross Warburton, has immense knowledge and experience of the UK food market, with a strong track record at Warburtons, Richmond Foods plc and Marlow Foods, amongst others."
