Uniq AGM and UK Management Appointment

Uniq plc, the European convenience food group, will be holding its AGM today.

At this meeting the group will repeat the trading comments made in the Interim Management Statement announced on 28 April 2008.

In addition the group is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Draisey as Managing Director of the UK division with effect from 2^nd June.  Stephen is very experienced in the UK chilled food market having spent the last 17 years of his career with Geest/Bakkavor where he held a number of senior positions.

Rick Turnbull will continue as Chairman of the UK division and Howard Sims will focus on commercial and new product development during a transition period.
